We just finished a new series at RSYM called "Love Stuff". Understanding God's ways for relationships is SO HUGE because we see countless lives continually destroyed by bad choices in this area! The fact that the divorce rate outside the church is generally no different than those inside the church shows us that Christians have bought into the lies of our culture and need to return to God's ways for relationships! If you missed this important series, find them online, click here
A 14 year old girl started an organization in 1893 that has been going for over 115 years. Helen Cadbury (yes, her dad founded Cadbury Chocolates) was saved at age 12 and two years later started something called "The Pocket New Testament League". The idea was to be ones that not only read the Bible but also seek to have opportunities to witness and give away small New Testaments. Throughout the years, over 100 MILLION New Testaments have been given away! You have to check this out, though: They have a website now (www.pocketpower.org) that you can go to and order New Testaments for free or donation in tons of different cover styles to customize them for who you would give them to! They also have many languages. Check it out, donate, order some and then give them out to friends, classmates, coworkers, etc!

The RSYM Challenge consists of taking time to read your Bible and spend time in prayer at least 20 days out of a month! Those that accomplish this objective complete the RSYM Challenge for that month and for each month that you do it, you become eligible for different prizes! The greatest prize is feeding your soul and growing strong in God's Word though!
Our very own 4 This Time Girls Chorus did a phenomenal job performing two concerts at the Warm Beach Lights of Christmas! They received the only standing ovation of the season so far! Way to go! Praise God! See all the pic in the photo album here.
I couldn't help but notice how stagnant the website forum has been the past few months. Luke put a lot of work into this website. Lets use it!
You can share your "Shredin' the Gnar" stories or post a prayer request, even create your own thread for others to read! To enter the website forum, just click on "Message Board" at the top of the webpage. Enjoy!
Ok, so many in our youth group have been known for really loving the extreme sports. We recently opened a new category in our Youth Group Photo Album for YOUR extreme sports pictures! Sweet! So, upload your own...and check out the gallery!
There's definitely more to life than a temporary adrenaline high or fun activity, but I love some of the extreme sports for two reasons! 1. Because they allow you to enjoy some of God's best creations in an awesome way...and 2. Because it's good practice at getting out of our safe bubbles of routine. It's good practice of swallowing fear and embracing courage. That's important when God calls you to step out of the boat like Peter, or to witness to someone passing by like Phillip did, or to go where God is calling you like Abraham!
So take and upload those pics (instructions below-click "read more") and let's most importantly live courageously for God!!
Ok, so a few weeks ago we looked at the topic TEAM UP! We're a team and God wants us to work together as such! At the end of the night, we launched a small group of Counselors - a team of 6-8 - that will interview each person with a survey and then try to work with everyone in helping us all find our place in working together as a body or a team!
Sweet, huh? So, it's really important that you sign up for your interview time! Interviews can happen after youth group sometime or another time can be set up (examples: after church, have coffee, etc) For guys, the interviewers are:
Keith E, Luke S, Silas G, and Joe L. For the girls, the interviewers are:
Kim E, Esther L and Joelle P.
Sign up sheets are at Youth Group but you can also call an interviewer directly. Unity, Purpose, Spirit! Are you excited? I am!
Do you like doing graphic design? How about doing some graphic design for our website? Play around with the creation of fun graphic ads for the sidebar and for articles, etc! Sidebar graphics are 150(wide) x 450(tall) pixels and can be made to advertise upcoming events, features of the site, important things to remember, people to recognize for achievement or service, etc! If you enjoy graphic design, give it a shot! If you need a powerful graphic program there is a free one called "gimp"! Give it a shot and email me the results! If you have questions or more information, talk to luke!
